Join us on Wednesday, June 13th as we celebrate the progress made so far in our Women Build campaign!
Proud Women Build sponsor, the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network, will be hosting this celebration to celebrate both the end of their 2017/18 membership year and their commitment to supporting Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s Women Build Campaign. Please note: You do not have to be a member to attend, but a ticket is required.
We are thrilled that the dynamic duo of Jayne and Suzanne Bradbury have agreed to travel up from Victoria to share their respective stories with us. So we now have not one, but two fabulous guest speakers lined up to help us celebrate! (And who doesn’t love a good ‘B.O.G.O.’ offer?!)
The Bradbury sisters own and operate Fort Properties, a third generation family business which is focused on property ownership, management, and development. They are committed to creating “space that contributes”, and they believe that the built environment can positively influence the economy, a city’s character, and individual lives for the better.
Both Suzanne and Jayne are passionate about community building and sustainable urban planning and design, and they have a special interest in the link between real estate development, urban design, and healthy communities. Bearing this in mind, they were thrilled to learn about our organization’s commitment to Habitat’s Women Build project. They are excited to share their insights and inspiration on how they have successfully managed motherhood and marriage along with their careers to make a difference in their community.
And what a difference they are making! In 2017, Suzanne and Jayne were featured on the cover of Douglas Magazine and were named 2017 Foodies of the Year by Western Living Magazine. Their adaptive reuse projects in downtown Victoria have won numerous Victoria Real Estate Board (VRAB) Commercial Building awards, including the Judge’s Choice award and the Community award. Fort Properties has also been awarded a Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award.
Come, be inspired with us! Join us on Wednesday, June 13th at the Westerly Hotel for the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network’s membership year wind-up and Habitat for Humanity VIN’s Women Build Milestone celebratation.
