A third-party fundraiser is an event, project, or sale organized by an individual, business, group or organization with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity. They are typically led by community members with little involvement from our staff. Adopt-a-Day Groups may also choose to fundraise in order to meet the required amount for a Group Build Day.
We’ve put together some helpful information about leading your own event and have a seal of approval logo available for third-party events and campaigns.
Planning Your Fundraiser
When you choose to plan a fundraiser, you have the opportunity to incorporate your interests and creativity. We encourage you to have fun and we are here to support and answer any questions you may have.
Raising money is not the only important benefit of third party fundraisers. Your fundraising efforts are also very important in building community awareness about Habitat for Humanity and our partnership with local struggling families. Your efforts may change the lives of a family by simply letting them know about what we do.
We’d love to help. We can provide the following to your fundraising activities:
A roll up banner, or other Habitat signage.
Brochures and Rack Cards outlining our mission and opportunities we offer.
Offer social media support.
Advertise in our ReStores along with help sell your tickets.
At times, a Habitat staff member may be able to:
Attend your event or make a presentation about Habitat for Humanity.
Attend for an official cheque presentation.
We encourage you to create a marketing strategy for your fundraiser: make a poster, submit press releases, and utilize social media for promotion.
Please provide promotional material utilizing the Habitat for Humanity seal of approval logo before production or distribution.
