We invite you to join us this week in the ReStore and on the build site as we celebrate both our 14th Anniversary and a Construction Kick-off for our Campbell River build!
Anniversary Celebration
On April 4th, Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North will celebrate 14 years of helping families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
We’re inviting the community to come out to either of our two ReStores between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to celebrate this milestone with us! Enjoy cake and refreshments, and learn about our upcoming construction projects and volunteer opportunities at the ReStore. This event will take place at both our Campbell River ReStore (1725 Willow Street) and our Comox Valley ReStore (1755 13th Street).
Campbell River Construction Kick-off
We will be celebrating again on April 5th, as construction kicks off on Phase II of the Hilchey Road construction project in Campbell River!
Join Mayor Andrew Adams and City Council, the Habitat team, and the future homeowner families on Thursday, April 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the 477 Hilchey Road build site. Enjoy coffee, muffins, and fruit while celebrating the upcoming build season. Show your support for the future homeowners, and find out how you can get involved in building community!

Volunteer Opportunities
A construction kick-off means a need for build volunteers!
With four permits in hand, we are ready to continue building on 477 Hilchey Road, a project that will eventually be home to eleven local families. Volunteer opportunities to help with upgrading the Volunteer Services Building and the installation of foundations are now open on the Volunteer Matrix, starting April 3rd … and we need help!
For the first three weeks, we recommend that only experienced volunteers sign up for shifts. Once the foundations are in, there will be opportunities to help that are more suitable for people new to volunteering with Habitat and with construction. Please note you can still pre-register as a volunteer to be notified when these opportunities open up.
We also need people willing to be Site Hosts, to help with Food Services, as well as tool organization and general site tidying.
If you have questions, please email BuildCR@HabitatNorthIsland.com or call Terri Perrin, Community Engagement Manager, at 1-250-218-4952.
