Since inception in 2006, the Meaning of Home Contest has raised over $675,000 in support of Habitat for Humanity Canada. These funds have helped Habitat affiliates in more than 30 cities across Canada build homes for deserving families. With over 7000 entries from students across the country – Genworth Canada donates $5 to Habitat for each entry received, so every student can make a difference.
When it’s one of your own, the proud meter goes through the proverbial roof. Sophie, the daughter of Tom Beshr our ReSource and Development Directors daughter has won third place in this years contest. Only because she is the daughter of staff she is exempt from winning the coveted iPad and $5,000 for the affiliate of her choice. We wanted to recognize this special girl in our own way and say Thank-you to Sophie for such a lovely and fun view of Home.
