Guignard Family
A number of symbols were presented to the Guignard family to express the best wishes of the community. These included a loaf of bread to nourish them, salt to add spice to their lives, a fix-it book to help keep the home in top shape, a set of tools to supplement the book, a tree and a shrub to provide beauty presented by the Comox Valley Horticultural Society and a Bible to ensure the existence of spirituality in their home.
Sam Family
As in Habitat tradition, the Sam's were presented with a few token gifts to show support from the community: a bible from Ron Freeman was presented to bless their family and ensure that God's presence would abide with them here; Alex Greenwood presented a loaf of bread to nourish them; and Dave Greenwood presented salt to add spice to their lives. Christine and Keith Kent offered a toolkit to help keep the Sam's home in good shape and a plant was provided to help beautify their surroundings.
